A traveling Exhibition, a permanent Observatory
After a long and prestigious travelling exhibition trough eight countries and eleven cities (Canton, Seoul, Ning Bo, Hong Kong, Kyoto, Hanoi, Belo Horizonte, Santiago de Chile, Istanbul, Bursa and Wroclaw) PIEMONTE TORINO DESIGN is here presented updated and enriched in its contents on the occasion of “Torino World Design Capital 2008".
Confirming the formula of the Exhibition attested by the unanimous support for the Exhibition by well-known and less well-known names and by small, mediumsized and big producers, the new EDITION confirms its role as a permanent observatory of the regional Design System.
The Thematic Sections are twenty, including some new sectors: Aeronautics and aerospace Section, Accessories for the body Section, the Research (both scientific and corporate), Great stories of small products Section, devoted to design and the permanence of serial products created by industry in the region which have become international cults (the Moka Bialetti coffeepot, the Joker Invicta school backpack, the Borsalino hat, the Superga 2750 shoes, the 649 Persol sunglasses, and the Optima Aurora fountain pens).
